Welcome to the sixth installment of 99 Bottles of Oils on the Wall! We’re now into the second shelf of my oil cabinet with this week’s featured 5 essential oils. Yes, I managed to get 22 bottles of essential oils on the first shelf of my 15″ x 19 1/2″ x 4 1/2″ oil cabinet by placing them 1-3 deep. While some folks arrange their oils by label color or usage, I place mine alphabetically to make it easier to find what I need, since they’re sort of stacked on top of each other. I love seeing pics of how my friends organize their oils, some on handcrafted shelves, some in recycled containers that previously held other things. So creative! So, how do you organize your oils?

Disclosures and Disclaimers

If you haven’t already, follow Oils & Spoils on WordPress or through email to be entered for a chance to win one of this week’s featured essential oils:

Eucalyptus Globulus:  Eucalyptus Globulus is one of three Eucalyptus essential oils offered by Young Living Essentials Oils. Eucalyptus Blue was featured in 82 Bottles of Oils on the Wall. This Eucalyptus has an earth, fresh aroma and is used in many skin care products. It can be diffused, directly inhaled or applied topically (diluted 1:1 (1 part essential oil with 1 part carrier oil)). Eucalyptus Globulus helps with respiratory issues and soothes sore muscles. Eucalyptus Globulus is found in the following Young Living Essential Oils products: Breathe Again Roll-On, Ortho Ease Massage Oil, Ortho  Sports Massage Oil and R.C.

Exodus II:  Exodus II is a Young Living Essential Oils proprietary blend of Olive Oil, Cassia, Calamus, Spikenard, Myrrh, Galbanum, Frankincense, Cinnamon Bark and Hyssop and is said to have cleansing properties, particularly when applied to the feet. Exodus II can be diffused, directly inhaled or applied topically (dilute 1:4). Caution: Possible skin sensitivities and is not intended for children under 12 unless directed by a health professional.

Fennel:  Fennel has a sweet, spicy aroma that encourages grounding feelings and can be diffused, directly inhaled or applied topically (dilute 1:1). Fennel can help rev up the metabolism, ease  PMS symptoms and can be used as a digestive aid. During medieval times, fennel was believed to ward off evil spirits and to protect against spells cast by witches. Caution: Avoid use if epileptic. Fennel is found in the following Young Living Essential Oils products: DiGize and Dragon Time (see 87 Bottles of Oils on the Wall) proprietary blend, bath and shower gel, and massage oil.

Frankincense:  Frankincense is amazing for any skin type. I add Frankincense to witch hazel and use the combination as my facial toner. When diffused, Frankincense can help with grounding or to uplift spirits. Frankincense can also be directly inhaled or applied topically (1:4), useful for respiratory issues or sore muscles, respectively. Frankincense is available as an essential oil single or as part of Young Living Essential Oils Vitality New Dietary Essential Oil Line, which means it can be taken as a dietary supplement to support normal immune response. Frankincense is found in the following Young Living Essential Oils products: Abundance, Acceptance, A.R.T. skin care line, Awaken, Believe, Brain Power, Common Sense, Exodus II (see above), Forgiveness, Gathering, Gratitude, Harmony, Highest Potential, Humility, ImmuPower, Inspiration, Into the Future, Longevity, Oola Balance, Oola Grow, 3 Wise Men, Transformation, Trauma Life, Valor and Wolfberry Eye Cream.

GeneYus:  GneYus is part of Young Living Essential Oils KidScents line and is a proprietary blend of Spearmint, Peppermint, Tangerine, Fennel (see above), Anise, Ginger and Cardamom. Diffuse for young children to help them focus and concentrate on projects. Recommended for children ages 2-12. GeneYus can be applied topically, 2-4 drops directly to the desired area or diluted for sensitive skin. I’ll admit that I am over the age of 12 and have used GeneYus for focus. It helps with the feeling of having 1,000 tabs open at the same time in my brain.

Alright, alright, alright. This week’s giveaway oil is (drum roll) Eucalyptus Globulus. I’ll randomly pick a winner from Oils & Spoils followers just before the next installment of 99 Bottles of Oils on the Wall. Hint, hint.

Until next week, you Eucalyptus Globulus!
