This week’s 15th installment of 99 Bottles of Oil on the Wall features 2 of my most prized essential oils. Every week, I take 5 essential oils down from my oil cabinet and various other places and pass along information on the featured 5. So far, Oils & Spoils has shared information about 60 Young Living Essential Oils singles and blends and given away 14 bottles of essential oils! Next week marks 4 months since the series began.

So, is Oils & Spoils in contention for the record for longest running blog series? I didn’t do the math; do I have 39 more bottles of oils left in my stash? Keep tuning in to find the answers to these burning questions and for a chance to win one of the week’s 5 featured oils. To be entered into each week’s random drawing, just follow Oils & Spoils, if you aren’t already.

Disclaimers and Disclosures

This Week’s 5:  3 Essential Oils and 2 Blends

Raven:  Raven is a proprietary blend of Ravintsara, Peppermint, Eucalyptus Radiata, Wintergreen and Lemon essential oils that helps to support the respiratory system. Cooling when applied to the chest and throat, Raven can be applied topically, diluted 1:1 (1 part essential oil blend to 1 part carrier oil); diffused or directly inhaled. Caution: Possible sun/skin sensitivity. Citrus oils, such as Lemon, are photosensitive, so be sure to use at night or apply sunscreen.

RepelAroma:  RepelAroma is part of Young Living Essential Oils‘ Animal Scents line and is a proprietary blend of Citronella, Idaho Tansy, Palo Santo and Tea Tree essential oils. Just as the name suggests, RepelAroma helps to keep pests away from your fur babies. RepelAroma can be diffused or applied topically, neat (no carrier oil). Apply 2-4 drops to your hands and rub onto your pet’s coat or add to a 1 ounce spray bottle and spritz generously on your pet’s coat or skin. And now I’m wondering if RepelAroma will work on me…

Rose:  Rose is the most prized essential oil in my collection. Every once in a while, Young Living offers a discount on Rose, and that, combined with being one of the oils on my Christmas wish list, is how I got it. Hi, my name is Kim, and I’m an oilyholic. I ask for money for birthdays, Christmas and other gift-giving occasions with which to add to my oil collection. It takes 22 pounds of rose petals, steam distilled in a two-part process, to yield a 5 ml bottle of Rose essential oil, which explains why good, quality Rose essential oil can be pricey. Rose has a glorious, uplifting aroma and has been used in skin care (scars, fine lines, blemishes) for thousands of years. Rose can be diffused, inhaled directly and applied neat. Rose is found in the following Young Living Essential Oils products: Awaken, Egyptian Gold, Envision, Forgiveness, Gathering, Gentle Baby, Harmony, Highest Potential, Humility, Joy, Oola Balance, Oola Grow, Rose Ointment, SARA, Trauma Life and White Angelica.

Rosemary:  Rosemary is available as a single and as part of the Vitality dietary essential oil line, which means it can be taken as a supplement or used in cooking. Rosemary is steam distilled from leaves and has a strong woodsy aroma that can promote feelings of clarity. A key ingredient in Young Living Essential Oils‘ Thieves blend and products, known for strengthening immunity, Rosemary also helps to lengthen and strengthen hair. I add a drop of Rosemary, along with Lavender and Cedarwood, per ounce of my shampoo and conditioner. Rosemary can also be diffused, directly inhaled and applied topically, diluted 1:1. Rosemary is found in numerous Young Living bath and body products, as well as Clarity, ComforTone, En-R-Gee, Inner Defense, JuvaFlex, JuvaTone, Melrose and Transformation.

Royal Hawaiian Sandalwood:  Royal Hawaiian Sandalwood is another of my prized oils and an oilyholic acquisition. Royal Hawaiian Sandalwood has a sweet, warm and woodsy aroma that is uplifting and frequently used for meditation. Pair it with a citrus oil, and you might be transported to a tropical island. Royal Hawaiian Sandalwood is valued in skin care for its moisturizing properties. Royal Hawaiian Sandalwood can be diffused, directly inhaled or applied topically.

This week’s randomly drawn Oils & Spoils follower will win a 5 ml bottle of Rosemary Vitality!

Until next time, don’t forget to smell the roses – Rosemary for clarity and Rose for a uplifting, beautiful experience.
