In previous blogs, we covered how to buy and ways to use essential oils. So, it follows naturally to figure out where to get supplies with which to use your essential oils to make roll-on bottle blends, creams, soaps, facial toner, lip balm and much more.

I’m a big proponent of waste not, want not, so I recycle plastic and glass containers into containers to house my essential oil concoctions. I reuse the plastic pure coconut oil containers for creams and butters. Plastic powder foundation containers with screw-on lids are perfect for homemade eye makeup remover, blemish gel, vapor rub, etc. Just don’t make or house any recipe that has citrus essential oils as an ingredient with/in plastic, including plastic roller balls on glass bottles and plastic cups, if you are adding these oils to your beverage. Citrus essential oils can draw out and break down the toxins in plastic.

I love to reuse my essential oil bottles. After you’ve removed the plastic on the top of the bottle and thought you got all you could get, there’s still about four drops left. I put the “empties” face down in Epsom salt and let the salt steal the last drops. I use the oil-infused bath salts in the shower and the truly empty and clean essential oil bottles for blends. I top the bottle with a roller ball fitment. I also reuse 2 0z. baby jars for some of the same uses as the smaller plastic containers, but I mainly use them for Stress Away bath salts samples.
