One of my favorite Young Living Essential Oils proprietary blends, Motivation, is one of this week’s five featured oils in the 12th installment of the 99 Bottles of Oils on the Wall series. Honestly, I was skeptical. Really? Motivation in a 5 ml bottle? Oh, yeah!
Congrats to last week’s winner of a 5 ml bottle of Lavender! With each installment of 99 Bottles of Oils on the Wall, I give one of the week’s featured oils to a lucky winner, randomly drawn from Oils & Spoils’ wordpress and email followers. So, if you aren’t already following Oils & Spoils, follow already, and read on to see what essential oil or blend you might have a chance of winning this week.
This Week’s 5 Essential Oils and Blends:
Melrose: I often forget that Melrose is a Young Living Essential Oils proprietary blend. It just sounds like an essential oil single to me. Melrose is a blend of Rosemary, Melaleuca (Tea Tree), Clove and Niaouli essential oils. Melrose is awesome for skin – cuts, scrapes burns, bruises – because it helps damaged tissue. I put a couple of drops of Melrose, along with other essential oils, into a bottle of witch hazel and use it for facial toner. Melrose can be diffused, directly inhaled or applied topically, diluted 1:1 (1 part essential oil/blend and 1 part carrier oil). Caution: Possible skin sensitivity.
M-Grain: M-Grain is one of those Young Living Essential Oils proprietary blends that I keep in my oils arsenal for headaches, particularly those brought on by storms and changes in weather. M-Grain is a blend of Basil, Marjoram, Lavender, Roman Chamomile, Peppermint and Helichrysum essential oils. I put a Young Living Essential Oils roller fitment on the bottle and apply it to my forehead, temples and the back of my neck. M-Grain can be diffused, directly inhaled or applied topically, diluted 1:1.
Motivation: I’m very fortunate to work from home, with the exception of client site visits. Sometimes, motivation to stare at data for hours or work on a monster report is lacking. So, I either take a couple of whiffs from my bottle of Motivation or put a drop in my hand and apply it on the back of my neck, behind my ears and on my wrists. It’s one of those where I put it on, don’t think about it, and as I’m powering through something, I get that ah ha moment. It’s also slightly less expensive than Brain Power, another Young Living Essential Oils proprietary blend that has a similar effect for me. Motivation is a blend of Roman Chamomile, Spruce, Ylang Ylang and Lavender essential oils. Motivation can be diffused, directly inhaled or applied topically, diluted or neat (no carrier oil).
Myrrh: Myrrh is steam distilled from gum/resin and is mentioned in one of the oldest known medical records, the Ebers Papyrus (16th century BC), an ancient Egyptian recipe list of nearly 900 prescriptions and recipes. Myrrh was highly regarded in biblical times and has an aroma that is uplifting and promotes spiritual awareness. Myrrh is also known for its use in skin care because of its moisturizing properties. Myrrh can be diffused, directly inhaled or applied topically, neat.
Northern Lights Black Spruce: Northern Lights Black Spruce comes from Young Living’s Northern Lights farm in British Columbia, Canada. Northern Lights Black Spruce has a rich, woodsy and invigorating aroma. Northern Lights Black Spruce can be diffused, directly inhaled or applied topically, diluted 1:1.
Northern Lights Black Spruce is also this week’s giveaway oil. For a chance to win a 5 ml bottle of Northern Lights Black Spruce, follow Oils & Spoils through wordpress or email. I will randomly draw one lucky winner from Oils & Spoils followers, as my weekly thank you for tuning into my blog. So far, 11 lucky winners. Will you be Lucky Winner #12?
Until next time, get your Motivation from a bottle that won’t get you in trouble.
