Hello, lover! That cheesy picture is me with my first Young Living Essential Oils Premium Starter Kit. Three years later, I still use essential oils every day and my desire to learn and share all I can about essential oils has not waned. Young Living Essential Oils has also done their part to keep my interest, with some recent changes to the Premium Starter Kit, as well as new product launches. Anniversaries of any kind have a way of making me reflect on the past, while planning for the future. I try my best to just live in the present. I’ve shared my reflections in previous oiliversary posts, and for this third oiliversary, I’m sharing my goals for this year, as well as marking another milestone with an essential oil giveaway.
3-Year Oiliversary Goals
My 3-year oiliversary goals are pretty simple:
- Complete my Young Living Essential Oils singles and blends collection. I want all the oils and have been growing my collection slowly and stealthily by adding onto my Essential Rewards monthly order and cashing in my Essential Rewards points.
- Try one new essential oil or essential oil blend each month. Reminiscent of the 99 Bottles of Oils on the Wall series, I’ll blog about the single essential oil or essential oil blend of the month, as well as give away a bottle to a randomly-drawn Oils & Spoils follower.
- Complete Foundations of Aromatherapy. You don’t have to be a certified aromatherapist to use essential oils or to be an essential oils distributor. This is a personal goal of mine and part of my desire to learn all I can about essential oils.
- Blog and post more consistently. I’m aiming for an Oils & Spoils blog at least once a week, along with posts on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter. Be sure to follow Oils & Spoils Facebook page, which is where I usually post Young Living Essential Oils flash sales and give away some oily goodness to a randomly-drawn Oils & Spoils Facebook page follower for every 100 followers.

Updated Premium Starter Kit
In addition to Young Living Essential Oils adding my favorite diffuser – the Desert Mist, with 11 light settings and 4 run times – in their diffuser Premium Starter Kits, they’ve also made a few changes to the oils and extras offered as part of the kits. Essential oil blends R.C. and Purification have been replaced with Raven and Citrus Fresh. Raven is a blend of Ravintsara, Peppermint, Eucalyptus Radiata, Wintergreen and Lemon essential oils, and like R.C., helps to support the respiratory system. Citrus Fresh is a blend of Orange, Grapefruit, Mandarin, Tangerine, Lemon and Spearmint essential oils and is refreshing and uplifting when diffused. The essential oil packets have been replaced with a sample packet of plant-based Thieves Household Cleaner.
New Products Launch
Young Living Essential Oils recently began offering a Savvy Minerals Premium Starter Kit, having purchased the natural, mineral-based makeup line last year. Monday, April 16, they’re adding a total of 15 new lipstick, lip gloss, blush and eye shadow colors and a new lip scrub, along with a gorgeous catalog that showcases the Savvy Mineral line with tips for application.
Young Living has lowered the prices on some of the items in its Seedlings, essential oil- infused baby products, line by up to 20 percent. Seedlings Baby Wipes are now available in bundles, and the Seedlings Gift Bundle makes a perfect baby shower gift.
Reformulated
Young Living has reformulated their Satin Facial Scrub™, Mint with 100 percent naturally derived ingredients—including apricot seed powder, mango seed butter, and raspberry fruit extract. I use this scrub 2-3 times a week and can’t wait to try the reformulation!
